The Witts Provide Support to UA in Perpetuity

Photo of Winifred 'Quiggy' WittSamuel and Winifred “Quiggy” Witt were strong supporters of Southern Arizona charities during and after their lives. To provide a fixed income for her lifetime, Quiggy Witt established a charitable gift annuity with the University of Arizona Foundation after the death of her husband, a founding member of the Southern Arizona Homebuilders Association and local builder. Sadly, Quiggy passed away in 2010, but her gift annuity and an estate gift have bestowed more than $4.6 million in support to the University of Arizona.

The Witts' estate gifts established three endowments that benefit, in perpetuity, medical student scholarships, a faculty member at the College of Medicine and cancer research. A gift was also given to the Eller College of Management to restore the McClelland Hall courtyard.
